Acupuncture, Massage, and Holistic Medicine in Pomona, NY
Daniel Rose, L.Ac, Dipl. CHM

About Me

Daniel Rose, L.Ac is a medical practitioner who has a passion for blending Western and Eastern medicine. Before entering medical school, he took time off to study the medical systems of India, China, and South Africa.

During his travels, he found that the indigenous medical systems of each country were producing remarkable results and could be integrated with their Western counterparts for better outcomes than either system alone. He was particularly fascinated by the integrative care system of China's major hospitals in Beijing, ChangSha, and Shanghai in fields such as oncology, fertility, and orthopedic rehabilitation.

After completing his Masters program in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington, Daniel continued his education with advanced training in Shanghai, China. He gained clinical experience in Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and Orthopedic Rehabilitation at ShuGuang Hospital in Shanghai.

In 2016, Daniel returned to the States and established the Azamra Acupuncture Clinic in 2017. He believes in treating the whole person, not just their condition, and provides a Western-style assessment combined with a Chinese medicine diagnosis. His specialties include not only pain and stress relief, digestive conditions, and dermatology, but also a focus on treating cases that have not responded well to conventional treatment.

Daniel now lives in Spring Valley, NY with his wife and children. In his free time, he enjoys reading, rock climbing, and spending time with his family. If you are struggling with chronic diseases that have not been controlled by other medical treatments, you may want to schedule a consultation at the Azamra Acupuncture Clinic.

My Philosophy

The primary medical system in the world is Western Biomedicine, and with good reason. Modern Scientific Medicine has eradicated hundreds of deadly diseases and raised life expectancy around the globe. However, it’s results are not perfect. About 80% of the patients I see at the Azamra Acupuncture clinic have tried, sometimes for years, to cure their pains and illnesses using Western Medicine without success. They come to a Traditional Chinese Medicine clinic as a last resort, not really believing they can be helped. A few examples:

  • Sciatica that is not relived by cortisone injections or RF nerve blocks,

  • Severe Pediatric Eczema that reappears as soon as the 2 year old goes off of topical steroids

  • Vertigo that doesn’t respond to vestibular therapy or pharmaceutical medications

  • Infertility that defies multiple IVF cycles

  • Chronic Fatigue in a young mother that doesn’t improve after taking mountains of vitamins and supplements

All of these examples are real patients who were completely cured at the Azamra Acupuncture clinic with Acupuncture and/or Chinese Herbal Medicine. Because of this experience with difficult cases, I’ve developed a sense of awe for the wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), which I believe is the most sophisticated alternative medical system in the world.

In America, our primary care medical system is extraordinary, but imperfect, and many patients fall through the cracks, bouncing from doctor to doctor without finding relief. My experience is that integrating TCM into your healthcare plan fills in the gaps missing from the American Healthcare system. Anyone struggling with chronic pain or illness should try Acupuncture and/or Chinese Herbal Medicine because for so many people, it's the missing piece of the healthcare puzzle that results in a real and lasting cure.
